Clinical Manager

About the role

Based in Bairnsdale, Victoria, you will support the General Manager of Aged Care in managing and leading the delivery of person-centred care of residents, ensuring the highest standard of ongoing assessment, care planning and evaluation and clinical governance, helping them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives.

Duties

  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the care home
  • – Support and lead the care home clinical team including coaching, mentoring, staff allocations and delegation, performance management and education
  •  Review clinical incidents, complaints and changes
  •  Lead compliance with ACFI assessments
  •  Manage person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents – including case conferencing with families and carers
  •  Prepare and conduct clinical governance audits
  •  Oversee medication management in accordance with resident needs and legislative requirements
  •  Liaise with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to provide optimal resident care


Skills and Experience

  • Current AHPRA is essential
  •  Bachelor of Nursing or Equivalent is essential
  •  Qualification in aged care highly regarded
  •  Experience managing a minimum of 30 beds
  •  Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting
  •  Excellent clinical assessment skills and care planning capabilities
  •  Highly effective communication, leadership and relationship management skills
  •  An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
Registered Nurse

Requirements

  •  Valid registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  •  Graduate qualifications or 6 months experience
  •  Excellent communication skills
  •  Valid Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
  •  A current Working with Children Check (for hospitals only)
  •  Valid Australian working rights
  •  Current Influenza vaccination
  •  At least one Covid 19 vaccination
Enrolled Nurses

Requirements
– Valid registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
– Postgraduate qualifications or 6 months experience
– Excellent communication skills
– Valid Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
– A current Working with Children Check (for hospitals only)
– Valid Australian working rights
– Current Influenza vaccination
– At least one Covid 19 vaccination

 

Personal Care Assistant

Requirements
– Certificate in Aged Care or equivalent
– 6 months of PCA experience
– Valid Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
– Excellent communication skills
– Valid Australian working rights

– At least one Covid 19 vaccination

Food Service Assistant

Requirements
– Minimum 6 months experience working as an FSA ideally in an Aged Care. Candidates with experience in other sectors are also welcome. Aged Care specific training will be provided.
– Qualifications in either Food Handling or Basic Food Safety or Certificate III or IV or Diploma in a relevant discipline.
– Experience in food handling and serving or cooking in a commercial environment, laundry, and overall maintenance is essential
– Ability to work independently or in a team
– A valid police check
